Notes from Music City
The ScaleWings team took advantage of the popular US Aircraft Expo’s tour stop in Nashville, Music City USA, to give aspiring Mustang owners/pilot and fans of the brand an opportunity to connect. Special thanks Mustang owner/pilot Jay for supporting the show with Aces’s High (SN-023).
Excited prospects, including two current Mustang position holders, joined the fun in Music City, where everything, including the signature MUSTANG notes, are music to the ears.
One aspiring Mustang owner visiting from Atlanta was moved to sign a Purchase Agreement the week following the show. As momentum, awareness, and excitement about the SW-51 continue to build, ScaleWings was thrilled to close the month of May by welcoming three new owners. Jim, Roger, and James – you’ve joined an amazing community of owners and brand ambassadors whose Mustang journeys we look forward to sharing.
Next Stop: Oshkosh
Just over the horizon is Oshkosh, WI, home of EAA AirVenture. This annual event, widely recognized as the world’s largest airshow, offers something for every aviation enthusiast and Mustang aficionados in particular. The warbird area at AirVenture always hosts several P-51s which of course, gives SW-51 fans a chance to compare the authenticity of SW-51 DNA compared to its parent.
Visit the us in the ROTAX booth at AirVenture, explore the SW-51, take a picture of the “rivets”, then go compare it to the same section on the P-51. You’ll discover there is no more authentic reproduction of a P-51, and certainly no more affordable way to have a Mustang experience, than in a ScaleWings SW-51.
That Fighter Feeling: Viper Legacy Film
Without a doubt, one of our favorite documentaries released in 2026! There are few videos that capture the heart and soul of flying a fighter like this. Heavy Metal Concepts knocked it out of the park, the cinematography is on another level. Maj. Taylor “FEMA” Hiester shows us the combat capability of the F-16 and what it means to live your passion. Strap in, enjoy, and may we recommend watching this on a big screen.
Fighter pilots don’t hand out compliments easily, but no less than three F-16 drivers called the SW-51 the closest thing to their jets they’ve flown in general aviation.
