Record first quarter at the factory
At the ScaleWings build assist program in Krosno, a record six SW-51 MUSTANGs were completed during the first four months of the year – putting us and our builders firmly on track to complete 16 aircraft in 2026, a 33% increase over last year.
Every delivery, every owner story and every show remind us why the SW-51 exists: to bring the dream of flying a Mustang into the modern era.
Two Events and a New Era of Presence
From the sunshine of Florida to the heart of European aviation, we had the pleasure of presenting the SW-51 MUSTANG to thousands of aviation enthusiasts, pilots, owners, and future ScaleWings family members.
At SUN ’n FUN Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida, we showcased two SW-51s featuring Gold and Platinum Avionics configurations, along with CARLEX Italian leather and Alcantara interior. Our booth enjoyed outstanding attendance throughout the show, with many familiar faces stopping by – and several new customers now preparing to join the growing SW-51 fleet.
Just days later, we opened our booth at AERO Friedrichshafen, where we presented an SW-51 to the European aviation community. One of the major highlights was the first public presentation of our new large MT-Propeller. The new propeller brings the MUSTANG even closer to the visual presence and spirit of the legendary original, while marking one of the most exciting upgrades we have introduced so far!
A Big Month for Online Coverage
The past weeks also brought significant media attention to the SW-51, with several new YouTube features capturing the aircraft from different perspectives.

A special highlight is the long-form feature by aviation celebrity , created together with . Trent got ot fly and capture in Reno, Nevada with its owner, from California. It is a fantastic look into what makes the SW-51 so special in the real world – not just as an aircraft, but as an experience.
Chad has also been very active on his own fast-growing YouTube channel. Make sure to check out his latest feature, where he takes his SW-51 on a fun trip to the famous “Airport in the Sky” on Catalina Island – one of those destinations that perfectly captures the freedom, adventure, and lifestyle the Mustang was built for.

That Fighter Feeling: 40th Anniversary – 1 Week Only
Forty years ago Top Gun made an entire generation want to be pilots. It was one of the first movies to truly put you in the cockpit and let you experience that fighter feeling. More than a few of us on the ScaleWings team likely live and breathe this aviation world because of the original.
So without a doubt, several of us will be back in the theater next week. Both Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick are hitting the big screen again for the 40th anniversary; we didn’t want any of our community to miss this rare opportunity to experience that fighter feeling… without the G-forces.
