BUCKEYE AIR FAIR FLY-IN : FEBRUARY 13th – 15th
New for the ScaleWings 2026 event calendar is the AOPA Buckeye Air Fair. Now in just its fourth year, the event welcomed more than 30,000 attendees in 2025 who enjoyed a daily airshow, extensive static displays, and informative seminars.
The newest addition to the ScaleWings fleet, Double Trouble, will be flown in from LA for the static display. Meet the proud owner, Chad, and discover what it’s like to fly a fully equipped, IFR-capable Platinum Mustang and the incredible Italian leather interior by Carlex Design.

BIGGER IS BETTER
The new year began with exciting news about the new, 33% larger MTV-22 prop. The additional length and wider blades provide both performance and aesthetic enhancements. The new prop increases the climb rate by 300 FPM and reduces the takeoff roll by 15 percent. From a purely aesthetic perspective, the MTV-22 prop is inspired by the original P-51 prop shape, which enhances ramp appeal making the SW-51 even more authentic-looking – something ScaleWings takes very seriously.
The larger prop, made exclusively for ScaleWings, can also be retrofitted to earlier serial number SW-51s with the Rotax 916iS engine. Start looking for larger props to appear in early 2026.
BEYOND THE HORIZON
Strategic planning for ScaleWings 2026 North American Mustang Tour is underway. The aggressive schedule to participate in key events nationwide includes major airshows, sales expos, fly-ins, and of course, Mustang Fightertown 3. Below is a preliminary list of planned events through June – we’ll provide updates monthly in this newsletter.

MUSTANG FIGHTERTOWN 3
If “The third time’s the charm,” then the third annual Mustang Fightertown gathering will be an event not to be missed. The event has been growing each year as more customers make it a point to gather as a community of aviators passionate about Mustangs, sport flying, and ScaleWIngs. As planning for the event unfolds, we’ll release more details. For now, mark your calendars for November 10 – 12 and plan to join us at a location we’ll announce later in the year.
